Oh what a sight
I see while waiting
For the green
The spring long awaited
I wonder how my girls
Would like a friend
Maybe they would feel lucky
Maybe they’d laugh
Like a horse of another color
I don’t think this was a puppy miller
Just an unlucky pup
With a strange little owner.
Are it’s nails painted green or gold
Does it mind
Does it’s care,
Does it run through the fields
Looking for rainbows
And if found
Leave a “pile” of not so gold below,
So watch where you step
If the shamrocks abound
Get the magic biscuits ready
There’s a strange fido in town.
Had fun writing it. So glad you enjoyed:)

This is a whimsical, fun poem. I enjoyed it, and I think my Aunt Beulah would have liked it as well. Thank you for writing and sharing it.
