Do you? (Infinite Zip)

Did you think of me?
Did the stars fall out of orbit?
Did you whisper a last goodbye?
Did you go peacefully?
Did the others console?
Did you think I was not coming back?
Do you know how much I wanted to take you with me that day?
Do you see me now, missing you?
Do you see the tears I’ve shed?
Did your ghost whisper to me that warm breezy night?
The night the fireflies danced did you wake me once more?
Do you Think of me?
Did you know That a part of me died with you?
Did you know I still dream of you?
Did you feel so alone?
Do you know I still talk to you?
Did you know the moon is almost full?
Do you look down with a smile?
Do you know how lost I felt?
Do you know that you were one of a kind?
Did you know that you stole my heart?
Do you see the treats still in your can two years later?
Some days I ask myself if it was all just a sad dream
That came true for me.

Day fourteen NaPoWriMo….

Today’s prompt (optional, as always) is a little something I’m calling “Twenty Questions.” The idea is to write a poem in which every sentence, except for the last one, is in the form of a question. That’s it! It can be as long or short as you like. The questions can be deep and philosophical (‘what is the meaning of life?’) or routine and practical (‘are you going to eat that?’). Or both!

Framed moon

Ah sweet moon
I hear your call
Come out and play
I will light the steps
Of your way
To me.
Framed like morning sun,
I stand in awe
This warm day turned
To blissful view
Of almost full
My moon.
The hounds play
Running the woods
In search of game
I call to them
Seeing their shadows
As you fall in
Amongst the trees
Leaving shadows
With no leaves born
To block your
Magnificent light .
