Life,
Years like petals
Starting curled up tight
Waiting
Bit by bit
The nourishment of sun
Food of the soul
Slow motion unwinding
White satin sheets
Softly opening to receive
To become
To bloom into all it is meant to be.
The universe called me flower,
My life wrapped and tight,
I may unwind to the winds
Of change
Of seasons moving past
Of wisdom like awakening,
Of the truth of myself.
I am the seed given life.
I shall be splendid and adored
I am a gift
To the earth.
I am under the sun shining
A bud on the stem
One among many
But unique in my way.
In my peaceful garden
My mind dances on wind,
Open and free
To be.
Thanks Laine, I am glad to be able to give that gift. Peace to the soul, love from the heart and patchouli because a lot of people think of old hippies 🙂 haha just kidding, I like it 🙂

It’s hard to imagine reading any of your poetry, and not come away more peaceful feeling. You are such a talent, Kim – thanks for sharing it with us.

thank you Elouise, I think sometimes we forget and need a gentle reminder, the photo did it for me and left me feeling quite refreshed. We are meant to unwind and be beautiful souls.

Thanks for this gift! I relate deeply to the slow, even tentative unwinding and opening up of what I’m meant to be.
