Raining thought

Skies send to me
Visions of splendor
And the beauty of a gentle rain
This summer morn.
My mind drifts lazily
A heart light and free
Moves about the day
As one by one
Tiny drops fall
Before my eyes.
Wipers slide across
The view of endless water
And blue to grey skies
That hang in wait
As the band slips between
Obscuring the brightness
Of a measured beam
That silently folded
Back into itself.
Ah, the sound as the rain falls
The rhythm on the roof
Beating like a metal drum
Gently then building
As my thoughts drift away
To higher ground.

  1. We had a nice soaker….some flooded roads which doesn’t happen a lot but once I move to FLA, I think it will take in a whole new muggy context💦😊 I don’t mind it in moderation but so far this summer has seen its fair share…bring on the sun😊
