Our new day dawns
Finding the other side
where light gives guidance
we creep beyond our space
hoping for sights pleasing
as dogs sniff about the ground,
covered in green leaves
a new fall it seems
minus the shades of Northern climes,
we are standing in the aftermath
and feeling blessed on this and every day,
amazed and honored
beyond words.

We made it through the rain as Barry always sang, have yet to do a total assesment beyond the fence, but alive and well and so thankful for it all. Prayers sent answered
and just so happy.

  2. Got a good dent in today….I’m worn out for sure but back to work tomorrow at the regular job….today was pool cleaning, fence building, leaf and twig gathering,etc….still have a tree to take down but we have time…don’t have to get it all done in one day.

Thanks E, rainbows and butterflies….and fireflies have been stalking me daily, found four bluejay feathers today all attached….had found some before the storm so perhaps the soul of a jay was keeping guard💜🙏🏻great news about your family too, I’m so excited yet still praying for anyone under duress from this….a lot of rebuilding in parts of FL and the carribean.

  4. Thanks BW, happy days indeed. Just finished creating a new fence in the yard, at least the dogs will have one side of the yard to play in…..cleaned back gutters, crawled around on the roof, thinking I’m Wonder Woman or a rockstar at the very least😊💜

  10. So so happy to hear this good news!!!! Yes…Irma was a kinder girl than originally anticipated. A friend sent us a photo of a huge tree down right behind our condo…have not heard about the inside yet…but so thankful.
    I’m sure you are exhausted…hope you have power…stay safe while you investigate. It takes a while for the blank stares to go away.

  20. Us too, was so happy to see the shift last night and to be able to sleep deeply. Minimal damage, fence parts but could have been soooo much worse. Breezy today and resuming normalcy😊💜🙏🏻 thank you for everything, u kept my spirits in check.
