Observation of colors
lingering essence of brightness and light,
the scent on the air of seasons coming
I tread eagerly amongst the bliss.
Pine and juniper linger
as I cast a breeze walking by,
cones and berries hang to inspire
the magical moments to come.
I could be down and sad
as the ache fills my soul with emotion,
yet I choose to embrace each second
glowing in this thing we call life.
Days of rest spent slowly,
fresh flowers and favorites await
I limp my way through the list of to-do’s,
taking my time as I need to,
with boys on the tube I keep busy,
catching up and in the finest company
of my sweet favorite crew,
so much to do my mind whispers
and I smile and gently say
it can wait for another day.
I injured my toe in a not so pretty way yesterday, a funny story but doesn’t feel so funny when I try to walk. Healing up today watching football with the pups and the hubs, as my naked tree waits for its shiny baubles and lights. If I lift my foot, my purple digit (smack dag in the middle) looks like I could be flipping the toe bird to one and all. Ouch but it will heal, just gotta make it through at work on my feet. Walking slow but smiling. Life and it’s blessings, guess I was meant to take it easy. Yep, okay. I shall.
