My thoughts sit in limbo
Here then there,
Two fronts coming together
Clouded memory
Blocking light.
Floating,
Drifting aimlessly with a lightness
Whipped cream consistency,
The store-bought brand
Grabbed from behind
Dripping chilled doors,
Coupon ready in hand.
Yet the soul longs for richness,
stirring the heavy cream
Adding the sweetness of life,
Beating revolutions to rise
Higher and higher
Thick with depth
So different
So pure.
Move too fast
Round and round growing thicker still
Into butter to spread on bread,
Broken in the company
Crumbs of meaning fall into tiny pieces
To be brushed away,
Supping on this life
In all its delicate splendor,
Full on the gift
That change can bring.
Sitting on clouds that meander
Thick and thin
Weightless spirit
Moving through.

Thanks Michael, I love the meandering clouds too, yesterday they were towering like skyscrapers, wish I could tunnel into them and see what I can see 🙂
