A blue world

Centered in the calm of night
peace reigns in with much delight,
change on air I hear the voice
understanding is always a choice.
I know there lies a sweeter sound
of humming on the tip of tongue,
you will return I heard her say
the bluest heart returned today.
I sit in thought as peace falls in
to tethered thoughts set free to begin
and slipping into the Southern breeze
the falling of the winter leaves,
a sigh let loose from the stranglehold
to step up strong, to be so bold.
The journey brings her back again
and water cool and waves of green
the beauty of life once more now seen.

“Underground sight and sound
Human Symphony
Heard the voice had no choice
Needed to be free
Fly me high touch the sky
Left the earth below
Heard the line saw the sign
Knew which way to go
Cos it’s easier to try
Than to prove it can’t be done
And it’s easier to stay
Than to turn around and run”
Blue World lyric The Moody Blues

A piece for a friend, no shades of purple, just essence of blue as seen last night as I felt a shift, knowing change is on the air and finding a reason to smile and be at a simple peace with the return. ❀ Peace and blessings.

A gentle tone

He plays to my heart

gifts that send peace rippling through

in waves of quiet splendor

gentle tones vibrate to reach the soul,

a calming place.

Slow and moving to the hum

the resonance of sound fills the air

and I smile in wonder that such simplicity

can garner so much good,

how can we not lose ourselves

in moments of quiet contemplation

as the sound rises filling the blue room,

the fan circulating the air above

as my head drifts into a scene of silence

broken only by the hum

of a precious gifted metal bowl

in blue to match the hue

of this life of beauty,

I give thanks for the honor of being here

and for the song given

by the deepest heart of the man I adore.

My birthday gift from my husband, a Tibetan singing bowl. He saw me looking at them a few weeks back and I told him I could not justify paying that price for one, it’s a beautiful shade of blue, with a heart connection to the hum and then nestled within, a carved stone heart, a sunstone (a power stone for bringing joy and other positive feelings into your life. Awaken cosmic consciousness and help you to be open to blessing others with your personal abilities and gifts. They release stress and aid mental clarity), ha! Does that man know me well, or what? I have got it to sing perfectly, feeling the vibration move through and it makes me smile and feel so very good. Similar looking bowl to mine here:

Must say, one of my best gifts ever ❀ thank you my love ❀

Man of motion (Gordon Downie)

Between the spaces where the dust settles,
Where words of a poet come to rest
and screams of effect of a tragic goodbye,
tiredness of soul rest
and glittered nights will be set for life,
it’s in these places the voice ignites
and says it’s goodbyes in the evening light
together, tears are shed before it’s done
as we remember the days as if they’ve just begun.
The whimsical remembered stories told
in our minds they seep
forever to enthrall
and we speak your name with reverance there
with caps and courage and grace brought forth
a “live well” as the light goes out
not just another but one of us
from youth to now we still hear the voice
on cold wind blown Canadien nights
what poets words do stir the mind
for tonight until the end of time
oh sir you gave a young girl thoughts
on forbidden dark lit concert nights
as we danced until the morning came
and as we slept many whispered your name
as we shall do until the end of days
in rememberance of that summer haze
when music was all that made us alive
thank you sir from the Florida skies
and wishing I had been there to see
the final moments
sharing in the shedding of tears
as you climb the stairs that await us all
I hope you know
you were the white shirt singer of a teenaged soul
who inspired a child in lonely days
in the poets mind
you took your time
you did it right
the final chords,
a shining light.

I am so blessed with having seen my favorite Canadian band The Tragically Hip twice in my life, yesterday was the showing on CBC music of the final concert, heartfelt bits and pieces are all I’ve been able to pull up, as the lead singer Gord Downie battles an inoperable brain tumor, such courage, love and showmanship was what I am now left with, and such sweet memories of teenage nights at a concert up in Canada….no I can’t say much…but it was Amazing…I will leave it at that. God bless you Gord, a poet who still inspires….Singing fifty mission cap….and Boots and Hearts of course.πŸ’œπŸ’• Thank you for your gift of music and words πŸ’•πŸ’œ Glad I had the chance to witness the beginnings of goodbye.
