In between thought

“Soon you will see me ’cause I’ll be all around you
But where I come from I can’t tell,
But don’t be alarmed by my fields and my forests
They’re here for only you to share.
Cause here there’s lot of room for doing
The things you’ve always been denied
So look and gather all you want to
There’s no one here to stop you trying.
Watching and waiting
For someone to understand me
I hope it won’t be very long.” Hayward/Thomas

I am here in this place,
in between thought and saving grace
as the sun settles down
upon the remains of the day
and in darkness I become
one with shadows.
I have become this pattern of peace
dappled in shades of night and morning
whisked away on an endless dream
content to know
out there somewhere the star sits
waiting for moon to balance
the edges with light.
I breathe in cooler air
where once there was the fiery heat
now comfortable like a quiet stream
that speaks to me in a memory
but you are here now
and I will join soon
eyes closed and filled with calm,
free of sadness,
free of the bounds of gravity
Flying high in a state of mind
calm.

As the time for sleep draws near, I find myself in a very good place, calm, clear, collected and steady in breath….content, yeah, thats the word, content. My mind has been on a jukebox playlist all day, Billie Holiday all the way to playing air guitar in the car to AC/DC! rock and roll aint noise polution…..i think i scared the dude at the red light next to me, but leave off with one of my Moody Blues faves….youtube it if you desire, sing along with me and feel the calm wash over.
peace and blessings my friends,
goodnight, K

Into yesterday

“These are the seasons of emotion and like the winds they rise and fall This is the wonder of devotion – I see the torch we all must hold. This is the mystery of the quotient – Upon us all a little rain must fall.” Led Zeppelin

Journeys wind through the nature of seasons,
I call the woods my home from home,
To be amongst the silence
To gain perspective
Of the whole.
I sit among the wild flowers
They ask not their purpose
They just spring forth from dirt,
As we all come from particles
Into something.
We too carry forth on our path.
We rise up through hardship
Or a are blessed with a peaceful easy road.
Yet nothing will stop the feelings
From rising up
To clutter our way.
When did we forget to be like the flowers,
To just spend our moments gracing the path
Of the solitary traveler who walks on past?
When did we forget that we too shall have our season,
Our rain,
Our sunshine,
Our group of others,
Alike or not quite as much,
When did we forget
To dance with the wind?
Clouds move in and out of my heart,
Hard days blend and I find myself
Forgetful of the simplest things,
Distracted by the rain that falls,
Wipers moving back and forth
And songs of yesterday play on
And half way home,
A favorite song,
I don’t remember singing along.
Yet my voice startles my from
The simple daydream reverie.
The journey thus far,
Just a mirage of emotion,
Played out like a movie I remember
As a child,
To awake and find,
Credits rolling in the rear view mirror
Heading home
In the midnight hour
Rocking motion of the wheels
Soothing and so very quiet,
Highway lullabies,
Go to sleep my child,
Were almost there.

“Between the silence of the mountains
And the crashing of the sea
There lies a land I once lived in
And she’s waiting there for me
But in the Grey of the morning
My mind becomes confused
Between the dead and the sleeping
And the road that I must choose”
The Moody Blues

Yesterday song

She sits in her memory
Swing back and forth
To the song she remembers
Watching and waiting

“Watching and waiting
For a friend to play with
Why have I been alone so long”

She sways and hums along
To the tempo of her thoughts
Slow
Steady

“Cos here there’s lot of room for doing
The thing you’ve always been denied
Look and gather all you want to
There’s no one here to stop you trying”

She knows the truth to these words
As she has been here
And lived them before.
Like a truth told
They always come back to her
The sweetness of a fable
Caught in the web of her illusion

“Soon you will see me
Cos I’ll be all around you
But where I come from I can’t tell
But don’t be alarmed by my fields and my forests
They’re here for only you to share”

She dreams the moment alive
In her heart and head
Watching and waiting she remains
Forever in a spell
Of yesterday.

“Watching and waiting
For someone to understand me
I hope it won’t be very long”
