Tripping on stars

Dreams cascade like mountain streams
Filling air with chilling breath
Beneath the cotton of layers
Shade blows back and forth
Nights kiss on whispering wind.
Sentences uttered from a nameless face
Over fences stretching across borders
Looking the same from over there to here
Clouds divide the stars above
Tripping over thoughts
Once more to pick up
Gathering together and leaving behind
The few lost into the earth.
Connected dots of cosmic illusions
The dipper overflowing with rain
Not so Sirius after all
As my mind searches the darkness
Waiting on the moon that slipped away
When I wasn’t watching,
And the puddles catch my jeans
Rising higher too late now
To turn back and change
If only to do it all over again
The repetition of days
Lived by the sane who keep moving
Feet on the ground and a head in the sky
Following red lights to jungles
Concrete walls to soon close in,
Time to enter.
When the lights come up
Life is lived
Time to go….
Yet it’s much better to just sit for a minute more
Here with you
Waiting for the sun
On this dark rainy morn.

I don’t want to go to work…..don’t wanna…..yeah, one of those days. Sigh. K💜

Angels gather

Pressed on morning skies
Rippled clouds go drifting by
I sit and watch the flowers move
Pushed on gentle winds
Invisible hands thread through.
The peace of this day fills my thoughts
As I see the world move about
Going here or there
Yet here I sit
Content to see the rising sun
And marvel in the blessings
This day shall bring.
Tiny birds sit on wires
Watching as the earth conspires
To bring about the sweetness of
This glorious show so high above.
With time to spare
I linger there
Where angels circle
And nature wakes
Green grass before me
And thistle tall
Just taking it in
The beauty
The wonder of it all.
Thoughts as I sit in my car before work, watching the wild things move and sway, content to see this peaceful Friday, and my angel who hangs in my car, miracles happen her words say and welcome to another day.

Drive around/lunch hour state of mind

Going nowhere
Lunch time moves
Food in and down and round
Like cars on freeways
Spinning towards the destination
And I laugh as I sit
In my little car
And a few four doors down
The music fills the air
Gary Numan “cars”
And into my mind it goes
This song from rest stop years passed
As I travel through my day
Spinning wheels
Going nowhere
And the song keeps playing
And I dream a moment away
Of silly yesterday
And hanging at the beach
As feet hung out windows
Covered in sand
And the bell rings like a horn
Driving my mind back round
To here and now
And the stop sign ahead
The dreaded wall
Where speed bump slows
Leaving no wind in hair
As time to move forward
Into the traffic of the day
Beep beep
Get outta my way.

Silly thoughts while on my lunch, sitting in the car listening to the song cars and realizing in life we wiz around and back again through our days…maybe it’s time to get the motorcycle out, sun is shining but don’t feel like eating the morning bugs….sigh….and G, I purposely used no punctuation…in case you were gonna ask😆 she says with a big old smile.
