Wishes

If dust specks were wishes
I would blow them to you
Each one special
Each one to come true.
I have so many wishes
For that I don’t mind
Because to share them with you
Who are gentle and kind.
My home is a chalice
Of wishes galore
With spring open windows
I’m sure to get more.
So open your arms
I am sending them on to you,
Keep them or share them
Sprinkled liked dew.
I’m not fond of rhyming
It’s just not my thing
But words to spread joy
Ah the comments they bring.
So here is some dust
Open your hand
And shake that fine magic
All over this land.

Patchwork hearts

we are brought together
Piece by piece
An invisible puzzle
Put together
One link at a time.
Built by memories,
Laughter and tears,
Words and feelings,
Smiles and sadness.
We sew it together
So very carefully,
Making each pass thru strong
It will withstand
Many washings,
Many years,
It will keep warm
It will bring security
It will be a part
Of a life
Brought together
Piece by piece
Stiched with the needle
Of life’s events.
You and I
This patchwork heart
Worn through years
But still as strong as the first day
It was created.

Path of day

Each day she arises
in the early hours of another morning
She sits languidly pondering
The path of mind she will
Journey on that day.
She does not hurry
As she knows these decisions
Will make themselves known
Soon enough.
She closes her eyes
And opens her mind to the
Possibilities of a beautiful trip,
Relaxed she feels her heart beat
In excitement for what will come
This very day.
She has no fear
As all was planned before she woke
In the womb this life
Has beginning and end
With all that comes in between
Each day she creates
In her head.
She feels peace with her choices
As she has played a part
In each path she has walked,
She embraces those she meets
With love for each soul
She is a kindred spirit,
She is a part of all.
