Random neatness

We measure our thoughts,
weighing them out and judging each one,
worthy or not we cast aside those deemed unimportant.
The rest, well those are the special ones, left behind but seen as having potential, worth much more than the others. We stack these up,
one
on
top
of
the
other
creating a random neatness where chaos had lived,
smooth and pretty they are
shapes
sizes
different
the
same
we gaze at each one
individually
together
in a line
or in a pile
we find where they will fit
in the creation we shall make
as we stack
higher
and
higher
we gaze beyond our treasures
at the blue beyond
where there is calm
and peace
flow
grace
and we long for that,
the clean
unencumbered
spacious
universe
weightless
free of the stigma
attached to each of these things,
we long to clear
leave space
emptiness
except perhaps for the sound
of breath
in
and
out
taking up nothing
invisible
yet
existing
as the years pass
like waves
washing away
what we build up
knowing
nothing
lasts
forever
we learn to let go,
to find the blue,
to breathe.

  1. My work now is to be sure and pick the ones that create the life I want. I’m seriously chunking the ‘stones’ that are not aligned with that ๐Ÿ™‚
Thanks for the reminder KIm ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. must be garage sale time? ha, clearing space is a good thing, I try to do it often, till I bring more “necessary things” home and then repeat process….kind of like making and drinking coffee ๐Ÿ™‚ peace and blessings โค K

  3. Just what I needed to read this morning as I gear up to release treasures and junk to make space to breathe!

I love these lines especially as applied to thoughts.
